Adoption fees don't cover the cost of getting
a dog ready for adoption.

The shelters we work with don't spay or neuter the dogs they give to rescues.  They don't give rabies shots, test for parasites, or treat for them. They don't treat for fleas and ticks.  If they do have microchips, they must be purchased by our rescue. These expenses are the kinds of expenses that your donations help us pay for.  When a dog has been neglected and needs their teeth cleaned, or has had an injury or illness... these are all the responsibility of the rescue who saves the dog.

This is why donations are so

very important to our work.

It is also worth noting that the national big box animal organizations are not saving dogs on death row from California shelters.  Donations made to them are spent on salaries, TV commercials and administration costs.
In fact, it's the small volunteer based rescues, like Lucky Pup doing all the heavy lifting, life saving work. Our rescue does not receive any government money
for the life saving work we provide.

When you donate to Lucky Pup Dog Rescue you are supporting change-makers, dreamers and doers.

Helping volunteers who see a better world for the homeless and abandoned dogs of California. You're helping to promote a world of hope, inspiration and community. Your donation is much more than "just a donation", it's a helping hand towards making the world a better place for those who rescue and those who are rescued.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  For more than a decade we've been able to help hundreds of dogs in desperate need.
