ALWAYS REQUIRE PROOF FROM SOMEONE IS
CLAIMING TO BE THE OWNER OF THE LOST DOG !
Especially if you post the dog on Craigslist Lost/Found
Or FindingRover.com, Nextdoor.com
Or Facebook Lost&Found for neighborhood
You can place FOUND flyers on every intersection
as far as you can with a BIG picture,
age, description, phone number,
BEST TO USE AN ASTROBRIGHT OR NEON
TYPE OF PAPER SO IT CAN BE SEEN FAR AWAY!

Place an IP "interested party" hold on the animal,
so the shelter will alert you when the animal is scheduled for euthanasia. Or not claimed.

Meet Rudy, just a baby, we rescued him from Moreno Valley Shelter,
a high kill shelter where it looks as though Rudy was stored in a box at the shelter. He was actually photographed in that same box at the shelter~~ this is the photo they used to feature him for their adoption website.
Adopted by Miss Linda to live his amazing, spoiled rotten happily ever after.
